Quality cotton textiles can remain soft and beautiful for a long time when cared for properly. A few simple habits are enough to preserve the fabric and delicate details.
Wash on a delicate cycle
Before first use, wash the item according to the instructions on the label. Usually, for delicate cotton textiles, a temperature up to 30°C and a delicate cycle are suitable.
Wash with similar colors and do not overload the washing machine. This way, the fabric has enough space and is not unnecessarily compressed.
Use a gentle detergent
Choose a mild detergent suitable for baby clothes and textiles. Avoid strongly scented products and use the recommended amount. More detergent does not necessarily mean better cleaning and can leave residues between the fibers.
Do not use bleach unless explicitly stated otherwise by the manufacturer.
Let the textile air dry naturally
Natural drying helps preserve the shape and softness. Avoid strong direct sunlight, which can affect the colors over time.
Gently unfold the item and let it dry in a well-ventilated area. If ironing is necessary, use a low to medium temperature according to the label.
Store with care
Store the completely dry textile in a clean and well-ventilated place. Do not store it for prolonged periods in tightly sealed plastic bags.
Caring for beautiful items doesn't have to be complicated. When we approach it with care, the softness remains, and with it, the memories associated with the early years are preserved.
